Ok, here goes.

This is part of a commission for ~Tobias-the-Fox, who wanted a character sheet of Krystal to help artists draw her more accurately. I say part because this is part of what will be the completed image. I'm posting this part now so it's up in time for Anthrocon. It's still useful, if incomplete.

I've spent many, many hours looking at renders, screenshots, and in-game videos to get every detail on this sheet as accurate as I possibly can. Of course, we all know how I feel about the quality of the renders and her in-game model in general. Some things were ambiguous and I went with what I felt was most probable and what looked best. The only thing I intentionally changed in this drawing are her spiral thigh tattoos - I closed them to form circles instead of leaving them open. I felt that they looked asymmetrical on her renders and closing the spiral went a long way towards helping that. I also gave her four toes instead of three. Everything else is as presented in the game and official art.

Crits are discouraged not because I'm trying to squelch commenting (no, please leave comments), but because there are some things in this drawing that I know people are going to pick at and complain about. Yes, I wanted to make her short and kind of stocky. Yes, she is proportionate. I know this because I drew her nude before adding her clothing specifically to make sure that it's correct. I'm pretty confident about the quality of the drawing and the accuracy.

I'm debating wether to attack the original with markers and sell it with a signed print. We'll see.

Thanks for this wonderful look for Krystal (I saw it on Dwight's site). It is good for my project becuase I was trying to see just what kind of build she had. You confirmed that I dont necessarily have a body perception problem in saying that Krystal is a character that doesnt fall prey to the typical female game character proportions....at least in Adventures.

May I send this to my partner in crime for a reference sheet for my project?

Yeah. I was at your actual website and saw how put off you were about this pic, not because it was a bad pic, but because simple artistic liberties (like the amount of toes you drew versus how many Krystal actually has) seem to be frowned upon by the fans that have seen this. Understandably you were going for accuracy with proportions and with the designs on her staff, gauntlet, etc....but what bout a few artistic liberties? Oh heaven forbid that you have extra white on the tail or that your eyes are drawn smaller....sheesh!

I'm pretty fed up with the Krystal fandom and I don't plan on doing anymore images of her, not because I dislike doing them, but because I'm really tired of how whiney, mean, and pretentious a lot of the fans are, whining about some of the exact things you listed. : /

Eh...I would never let it get to me that way personally. I know that in every aspect of my life, I cannot please half the people half the time. It sucks that people are that way in any place (yes, it isnt just Krystal fans), but it wont stop my creativity or drawing what III want to draw.
